Lafarge Lake Trip

On June 21, 2018 - the first day of summer group of Burquest members and guests went for the journey around Lafarge Lake and park, organized by Zanna Linskaia. She told the story about this area that originally was a quarry, but in 1970th the land was transferred to the city of Coquitlamand 5 hectare man-made lake with many species of waterfowl, as well as beavers, ducks, stocked trout was successfully ensued. Group was excited by Inspiration garden – this little corner of paradise with exotic plants, flowers, trees and herbs . The walk has continued to the Town centre park and Percy Perry stadium and sport complex, which was named in 2017 the best public space in BC for Teddy Bear festivals, Canada Days, Christmas lights and the summer concert events. The exertion was ended in the Art Gallery of Evergreen culture centre with wonderful exhibition “Floating among phantoms” by BC artist Ben Reeves.
