Ritual
Cantor Steve Levin leads the regular Shabbat services for Congregation Sha'arei Mizrah. Cantor Levin is a professionally trained cantor and is a member of the Cantors Assembly of America with a rich background in religious cantillation.
Cantor Levin officiates the Burquest B'nei Mitzvot, and is available for tutorial preparation, as well as performing at private events, with a wide range of spiritual and popular music.
Seniors
There are a wide variety of programs for seniors available at Burquest Jewish Community Centre. These include lunches, outings, as well as clubs, a Community Kitchen and more! There are also counseling services available with Zanna Linskaia, available via email at zlinskaia@hotmail.com.
Community Jewish & Hebrew School
We currently offer programming for both children and adults involving the instruction of Jewish ritual, culture and the hebrew language.
