Burquest is an independent non-profit organization committed to serving the cultural, social, spiritual, religious, and educational needs of the Jewish community in the eastern suburbs and Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. We offer a diverse range of educational, social, and recreational programs for all ages.

Fanya Khavkin z'l

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of long-time Burquest Jewish Community member, Fanya Khavkin, who died peacefully in her sleep on December 17, 2025. Her unexpected passing came as a shock to family and friends, yet there is comfort in knowing that she left this world gently.
