The Rise and Fall of Steven Spielberg

Who does not know Steven Spielberg, a famous American filmmaker, a prominent figure of the new Hollywood era? For us he is not only one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema, but a creator of his iconic movies - “Shindler’s List” and “Munich”, that have deep connections to Jews, Holocaust and Israel.

After receiving “Oscar” for “Shindler’s List”, Steven Spielberg established the Foundation for the Righteous Persons with profits from the film - $100 millions. The goal of it was to preserve Jewish history and strengthen Jewish life in America by educational programs and grants for research.In one of his interviews, Spielberg explained: “I could not accept any blood money from this film. All profit of it should go back to Jewish people”.

However, in recent years the foundation has directed millions of dollars toward left-wing Jewish advocacy groups and organizations whose rhetoric, hate and lies on Israel has alarmed parts of Jewish community after October 7 massacre and attacks by Hamas, ensuing war in Gaza.

One of the recipients is “T’ruah” - rabbinic human rights group, organized anti-Israel protests, demanding to end attacks against Hamas, Hezbollah and accusing Israel of war crimes, genocide against Palestinians. Since 2021, T’ruah has received $650,000 from Spielberg's foundation.

The foundation has also provided $1,2 million to “Bend the Arc”, another radical group, supported by Alex Soros. They demanded embargo on arms for Israel, blamed Jewish state for the fighting on own existence, protesting even against Holocaust Remembrance definition and Zionism.

“Jews united for justice”, next the most hated and aggressive group, got from Spielberg’s foundation about $1 million. They argue that Israeli leaders should be held account for oppressions of Palestinians. Such groups and organizations have been provided by $10 millions while the Holocaust Memorial Institute received $125, 000 in 2019, and Shoah Institute got $500,000 in 2015 for the records and testimonies by Holocaust survivors. This material was used in the film. Beyond the direct payments to the hate groups, Spielberg’s foundation distributed millions of dollars to anti - Israel network.

The foundation has not publicly responded to criticism. The filmmaker himself remained silent. Does Steven Spielberg really have no idea that he is funding next Holocaust?

After October 7 massacre in Israel, a 94-year-old Shoah survivor David Schaecter, wrote an open letter to Steven Spielberg:

“I am so heartbroken that since October 7 you have not spoken out and publicly taken a stand against terrorism, against Hamas and against the millions who celebrate the shedding of Jewish blood and want more”.

In September 2025, David Schaecter passed away without any answer from Steven Spielberg.

Finally, the filmmaker briefly addressed the issue, warning about rising anti-Semitism, alongside with Islamophobia, Arab and Sikh discrimination. One of his critics admits, that Spielberg has complex and nuanced relationship with Israel. On one hand he condemns terrorists, on the other hand he criticizes military actions by Israel, accusing Jewish state of killing innocent women and children in Gaza. What a jerk! Spielberg emphasizes the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, forgetting that Hamas and PA want Palestine from “the river to the sea” without Jews.

Spielberg has never visited Israel and does not have personal ties with Jewish communities. He always supports democrats and has been a closest friend to Clintons and Obamas.

On February 1, 2026, Steven Spielberg won a Grammy for producing the documentary “Music by John Williams”. He adds it to his trophy list with Emmy, Tony and Oscar. But he remains JINO (Jew in name only), as hundreds of Hollywood stars who signed a pledge to boycott Israeli film industry. They are get sucked into the culture of madness.
